Our Philosophy

  • We treat screen time as a meaningful metric and the first issue to address as you cannot achieve anything without control over your time and attention. While we encourage a mindfulness approach in everyday life, on retreats we simply switch off our phones.

  • Most of us live in environments making it hard to stay healthy. Health is not everything, but without health everything is nothing. Let’s encourage each other to get sleep, nutrition, movement and social fabric right.

  • Never getting out of your comfort zone is no way to live your life. We embrace an anti-fragile growth mindset that entails having skin in the game and occasionally leaving behind civilization to venture into the unknown.

  • True transformation starts with yourself. This category entails activities like meditation, breath work, ice bathing, yoga or journaling. We select approaches that are sound from a scientific standpoint and allow you to help yourself.

  • We all are social animals and sometimes need a reminder that community can be a beautiful thing and tribal rituals have their place and time. This category entails activities like cooking together or sharing stories around a campfire.

  • We have evolved as part of a big ecosystem and cannot exist in isolation from it. This category entails outdoor activities like wilderness hiking or star gazing, and if we grow into a movement maybe reforestation or permaculture projects.
